Every breed profile, care guide, and blog article on Maowsy is created with the following principles in mind:

Research before writing. We consult veterinary resources, breed association data (AKC, TICA, CFA, FCI), peer-reviewed research, and practitioner-authored books before drafting any article.
Primary sources over aggregators. Where possible, we cite the original study, official breed club, or veterinary body rather than relying on other content sites.
Plain language. Pet care information should be readable, actionable, and free of unnecessary jargon.
Specific over generic. Ranges, timelines, and concrete numbers beat vague recommendations whenever the evidence supports them.

Fact-checking

Before publication, every article is checked for:

Accurate breed characteristics against at least two reputable sources
Correct dosing, timelines, and health information
Up-to-date regulations (vaccination requirements, insurance rules)
Links that resolve and point to reputable destinations

Content updates

Pet care best practices evolve. Prices change. Products get discontinued. We review content on a rolling basis and update material when:

New veterinary guidance is published
A reader or professional flags an inaccuracy
Pricing, availability, or regulations change materially
The article reaches 12 months since its last review

Articles carry a published date. When we substantively update an article, we refresh the page and note the update.
